General Purpose Portland Cement
General Purpose Portland Cement is produced by inter-grinding Portland cement clinker with gypsum only. The Portland cement clinker and gypsum are accurately controlled. This method of production enables accurate control of cement properties and ensures product consistency.
Fiji Industries Portland complies with the standard physical and chemical requirements of Australian Standard AS 3972:1997 Type GP.
Fiji Industries Portland is ideal for general use such as in concrete, concrete blocks, pavers and pipes, and mortars, grouts and other cement based materials.
Packaging options
General Purpose Blended Cement is available in bulk, in one-tonne bags, or packaged in 50kg paper sacks (40kg for export).
There is an option to have cement shrink-wrapped, palletized and containerized.

General Purpose Blended Cement
General Purpose Blended Cement (AS 3972: Type GB or ASTM Types SP/IP) is made by adding higher proportions, typically 20-35% more, of blast furnace slag, pozzolan and other supplementary cementitous material to general purpose cement clinker.
Fiji Industries General Purpose Blended Cement complies with the standard physical and chemical requirements of Australian Standard AS 3972: 1997 for Type GB cement.
Blended Cement is ideal for general use in ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks and pavers, mortars, grouts and any other cement-based materials. Tests show that concrete made from General Purpose Blended Cement are stronger than ordinary Portland cement. It is also easier to work with, has increased resistance to sulphate attack, reduced chloride penetration, reduced alkali-aggregate reaction, lower hydration temperature, reduced bleeding and efflorenscence – and lasts longer.

Regular certificates are issued by the works to confirm compliance with the requirements of the Australian Standard for cement products. Product Certificates of Quality and Safety Data Sheets are available on request. Supply
Supply can be on FOB or CFR basis. Supply to most Pacific Islands occurs on a weekly basis.
